Fire Station Visit – November 2021
A big thank you to West Hartford fire station for putting on a informative and very interesting visit.
Kielder Camp – October 2021
Despite the rain the scouts had a good time camping at Kielder. Activities included bell boating, crate stacking, climbing and archery.
Wide Game
The scouts had fun running around the Town Moor for the first face to face scout night. Everyone was delighted to be meeting face to face instead of zoom!
Laser Tag
Cubs and scouts played socially distanced laser tag as first face to face activity of the year. A big thank you to Newcastle District Scouts for organising it.
Zoom Cooking Night
A big thank you to Andrea for teaching us how to cook shrimp, courgette and mascarpone pasta.
Urban Orienteering
The scouts had to follow a route from Montagu Hut to the All Saints Church whilst maintaining social distancing. This was followed by chips and pizza on All Saints field.
First Night of Face to Face Scouting
It was good to be back together with a night of socially distanced games at Montagu Hut.
Newsletter and Covid-19 update
Having had a very busy spring term online the leaders are now trying their hardest to get meetings started both face to face and online. Cubs managed a bike ride on 18/09 it was great to see everyone face to face, scouts are going to be camping at home again with some beavers joining in. Why not check out the photos on Facebook?
The constantly changing guidance and regulations can make last minute changes unavoidable but we will be running as many meetings as we can.
