Group Camp – Kirknewton
This year the annual group camp was at Kirknewton near Wooler. Twenty six scouts, twenty cubs, fifteen beavers and countless leaders took part. Activities included hiking, stretcher building, wide games, fire lighting, night line and first aid training.
Scout Bike Ride
The scouts had a great time taking part in a 20 mile Waggonways cycle ride. Big thank you to Brian for organising it.
Lord Mayors Charity Ball
Gosforth Scout Group was well represented when the gang show cast put on a fantastic performance at the Newcastle Lord Mayors Charity Ball.
Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT)
The scouts completed a 9 mile hike as part of the annual day for the World Scout Movement to hike together.
Scouts Campfire Night at Montagu
Climbing – Montagu Scouts
Montagu scouts had a trip to Newburn Climbing Wall instead of their normal meeting. Everyone enjoyed the challenge of trying to get to the top of the wall.
Newcastle Gang Show
Central Gosforth Scout Group was well represented at the Gangshow with thirteen young people taking part. All the hard work paid off in what proved to be a very professional and entertaining performance.
Barrasford Indoor Camp
The mini beast from the east could not stop the scouts having fun on a weekend camp at Barrasford. Thank you to Bob for organising a superb weekend.
Newcastle Gang Show
Central Gosforth Scout Group are the second best represented scout group in the Newcastle Gang Show. Don’t forget closing date for tickets for the group trip to the gang show is Friday 16th March.
