Blessed with glorious sunshine and the support of family and friends our group turned out and paid their respects to the fallen. Impecable behaviour by all our young people from beavers through to young leaders throughout the parade and service of remembrance in Gosforth central park. We were once again joined by 100th Scout group from Heaton and also, for the first year West Gosforth.

Welcome to the Co-op Local Community Fund
We are delighted to announce that our Group, Central Gosforth Scouts Group has been successful in its bid to secure funding from the Co-op Local Community Fund
The Fund helps to support local projects that its members care about. Since its launch in 2017, Co-op members have raised £39 million pounds for over 12,000 local causes. Central Gosforth Scout Group will now be able to access this funding opportunity.
How the fund works:
Every time Co-op members shop at the Co-op, 1% of what they spend on Co-op branded products and services helps fund community projects. Members can shop at any Co-op Group stores across the UK to raise money for your cause.
Members can choose which causes to support by signing into their membership account or by calling the membership helpline on 0800 023 4708. Our Scouting Group will be available as a cause for members to select until November 2019.
Our cause will now have a page on the Co-op membership website. This includes information about our Group and its nominated projects. To encourage members to support our cause and project, we are encouraged to share the following link on social media:

Our local stores
The Co-op ask colleagues in our community to help promote involvement in the fund and support your cause for the next 12 months.
We will be invited into stores in early January 2019 to meet colleagues but can pop in sooner and say hello. The stores in your community are:
