This year the annual group camp was at Kirknewton near Wooler. Twenty six scouts, twenty cubs, fifteen beavers and countless leaders took part. Activities included hiking, stretcher building, wide games, fire lighting, night line and first aid training.

Cub Bike Ride

The Cubs bike ride was once again from Blaydon to Rolands Gill for the now traditional chip shop visit. It was made all the better being a gloriously sunny night. Well done to all who took part both beginners and the more experienced riders

Cubs JOTT

The cubs completed the Lord Baden Powel (BP) Look wide walk retracing the steps of BP, from the train station to what was an open field hill top camp site, “look wide”. This was the first ever official camp following Lord Powel founding the Scout movement. some of our members were invested along with a fellow Member of the world scouting movement currently visiting from Paris. Thanks to Geoff Coulson, our guide for the day

Cubs at Newburn

The Cubs attended a trampoline and climbing session at Newburn activity centre. They gained new skills and greater confidence from the coaches while challenging themselves and having fun!
